Tentative Agreement for First Contract at the International Rescue Committee!

At 9pm Wednesday night in New York City, after two years of bargaining and one year since the Elizabeth, New Jersey IRC workers have unionized, we reached a Tentative Agreement with IRC management! This TA is the product of 700+ IRCWU members across 13 offices (including Elizabeth, NJ) uniting together to make IRC the workplace that we and our clients deserve.

Our work is far from done. Over the next few weeks we will be on our shop floors, in info sessions and one-on-one conversations preparing for this agreement to be voted on by the members of IRCWU. We are tired, but we’re not stopping any time soon, this is just the beginning!
