Local 32 Holds Union Activist Training at Rutgers Labor Center

Today, Local 32 held our long-awaited Union Activist and Steward training at the Rutgers Labor Education Center. In order to build a stronger union, Local 32 member-activists learned the skills to win changes at work and even better union contracts. This training was not just for longtime stewards but for any rank and file union member who wanted to get more involved in their union. Trainings were focused on how to have organizing conversations to be the most effective stewards for our coworkers, how to handle grievances, and the power of collective action.

Thank you to Sandy Pope and Monique Hennagan from the OPEIU International Staff and Rutgers University for facilitating and hosting the training!

Keep an eye out for future trainings coming soon!
