Jefferson University Standardized Patients Overwhelmingly Ratify First Contract at 97.06%!

With 97.06% voting yes, Jefferson Standardized Patients have overwhelmingly voted to approve our first union contract. Not only is this huge for Jefferson SPs, but for all SPs as this is the first union contract for SPs in the country!

The three year contract includes an immediate raise to $24 an hour with raises in each year to bring the base pay rate up to $25 an hour. Extra pay for invasive programs would also now significantly increases the hourly rate. And due to our pressure on Jefferson, all SPs are covered by the contract! We are also excited to have won a Non-Discrimination policy, a fair grievance procedure, as well as a Labor-Management Committee to continue to negotiate in between contracts.

This would not have happened without the power and overwhelming solidarity of Standardized Patients at Jefferson as well as the support of Jefferson Students and Alumni. Jefferson SPs Are Union Strong!
